Second “X-Files” Pic Moving Toward Production
… “The “X-Files” film sequel is heating up. Co-star David Duchovny indicated Saturday during theTelevision Critics Association press tour that the film, which has been the subject of speculation for the past few years, is one step closer to becoming a reality.
“I’m supposed to see a script next week,” Duchovny said at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, adding that creator Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz wrote the screenplay and that Carter is set to direct.” …
I watched the X-Files from the very first episode. And since I’m not much of a TV watcher, that’s saying something. This was one of the most brilliant shows ever, IMHO. It got better and better, and then, well, it got worse and worse. It was sad to see its decline.
Will I go see the new movie? You betcha! (Assuming, of course, this really is the Truth!)

You bet your boots I’ll go see it… the last season minus Mulder was awful, but before that? Pure Magic.

I was a major x-files fan – they replayed the first series here late at night last year and I stayed up to watch it again!
I didn’t mind the latter series, strange at first, but I quite liked the Robert Patrick character in the end. Will definitely be up for a movie though… have loved the Duchovny since Twin Peaks days.

I got into XFiles hardcore when I was nursing my now toddler. Scary stuff to watch at 2 a.m., I tell ya…
